Join Second Street Gallery Thursday, April 2, 5:30-7:30PM, for a special VIP Exhibition Preview Party & Fundraiser to celebrate the opening of Fine Art + Flowers. A curated showcase of botanical paintings, this exhibition explores the stunning elegance and intricacies of local flora by celebrated Virginia-based artists. Featured artists include Karen Blair, Lee Christmas Halstead, Berkeley Hoerr, Krista Townsend, Priscilla Whitlock, Laura Wooten, and Cate West Zahl.

An additional highlight for this premier event will be a breathtaking display of floral artistry as the gallery overflows with an array of flower arrangements crafted by local garden clubs, floral designers, and creative talents that share an adoration for the captivating beauty of Virginia’s natural landscape and resources. These exquisite creations serve as a dynamic backdrop for the paintings on view, creating an intricate interplay between the vibrancy of nature and the tranquility of art.

Event tickets are $40 for gallery members/$50 for non-members. Each ticket purchased includes one complimentary raffle ticket for the chance to win one of the floral arrangements (winner will pick up their arrangement Saturday, April 4, from 12-4PM). Additional raffle tickets are available for $10 each—funds that will benefit exhibition programming. Purchase tickets from the menu below.

Fine Art + Flowers will be on view in the Main Gallery April 3 – May 22, 2026.
