Join us for a morning of hope and fun at the beautiful East End Farm in Louisa County to support suicide prevention efforts in our community! This is a positive and safe opportunity to share stories of hope and recovery, honor loved ones who have passed, and fight the stigma associated with mental health and suicide.
Each year we are humbled by the amazing support of our community and enjoy the fellowship with those who join us!
There is NO registration fee to participate in the SPARC of Hope Walk/Run. If you register and make a donation of $25 or more, you will receive a t-shirt at check-in. We will also be hosting a drive-thru event on October 16th at Region Ten (500 Old Lynchburg Rd.) if you or your team would like to pick up your registration bags before the event. Stay tuned for more information on that event!
Registration begins at 8 am and the speaker program will is at 9 am. This year’s keynote speaker is Anne Moss Rodgers. Rodgers lost her son to suicide in 2015, and went on to become an author, educator, and advocate for suicide prevention.
EVERYONE is welcome to walk/run. Any participant five years and older is required to register for the walk. Pets are welcomed at the location of the walk/run; however they must be on a leash.
Don’t feel like walking? There will be fun activities for the kids and many resources available for you to check out!
The Walk/Run Will Take Place RAIN Or SHINE. The course is approximately 3 miles long and some terrain includes some gravel and earthen paths. Strollers, wheelchairs and other assisting devices are allowed. Directions to the farm can be found here: https://www.sparchope.org/helpful-info
