2025 Seas the Day event! FREE event for all veterans, active-duty military of all Services, active/inactive Reserve and Guard & families

Please make plans to stop by the 9th Annual Seas the Day event on September 21, 2025, from 12:00-3:00pm at Walnut Creek Park. This event, put on by several local organizations and veterans’ groups, is a free family event for veterans, active duty, active/inactive reserve, guard and their families in Charlottesville and surrounding communities. There will be plenty of leisurely outdoor activities, including water activities, games for children, demonstrations, a ‘Touch the Truck’ display, and tables with information from organizations that support and provide opportunities to veterans. There will be kayaking, paddle-boarding, spin and fishing offered. As in past years, there will be a raffle with local business items and gift cards plus a grand prize of a new kayak. The event features a free picnic catered by Mission BBQ
