Charlottesville Radio Group 30k Business Boost Contest Rules:

Starting Monday, April 27 at 8am through Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 11:59pm, log onto 1061thecorner.com, cvillecountry.com, z951.com, 3wv.com, wvax.com, and/or wina.com and enter the Saga “Start Back Up” Stimulus Program Contest for a chance to win a $5,000 advertising package (Third Place), a $10,000 advertising package (Second Place), or a $15,000 advertising package (First Place) (the “Prizes” or “Packages”). Entry is limited to businesses within WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX listening area that wish to advertise on Charlottesville Radio Group stations. The Packages will run across all Charlottesville Radio Group Stations WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX with equal spot distribution, 1^st prize package will be 120 spots per station, 2^nd place prize package will be 80 spots per station, and 3^rd place will be 40 spots per station over a minimum of two weeks. The schedules must air within 90 days of the prize being awarded. Commercials are pre-emptible but will be made good prior to the expiration date. All commercials will air M-SU / 6am-12m. Stations reserve the right to move, substitute, or change the advertising schedule as needed, only guaranteeing that all 720/480/240 commercials will air on a Charlottesville Radio Group Station. These Prizes will not be considered a substitution for booked schedules.  It will be incremental, using the last 12-month average in spending. All copy must be pre-approved by the radio stations.  Station reserves the right to decline any illegal or inappropriate message. Commercials involving political or issue advertising, as well as commercials promoting the sale of tobacco products, marijuana/cannabis products, or any goods or services whose advertising is prohibited by the laws or regulations of the state or federal government, will be declined. These Packages cannot be substituted or used to pay an invoice and is not redeemable for cash.

 

WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX, all Charlottesville Radio Group stations, conduct this contest concurrently and simultaneously with each other, and listeners of each station will be competing against each other for the same prize.

 

No purchase necessary. Businesses may enter once per day, per station. Submitting more than one entry per business per station per day will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted.  Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

 

Deadline to enter is at 11:59pm on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Prizes will be won on Monday, May 18, 2020. The prizes are advertising packages from Charlottesville Radio Group  valued at (1) Five Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) (Third Place), (2) Ten Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($10,000.00) (Second Place), and (3) Fifteen Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($15,000.00) (First Place). Three winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries on May 18, 2020 and each winner will be awarded one of the three Packages at random (one winner will receive the First Place package, another winner will receive the Second Place package, and the third winner will receive the Third Place package).  WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX’s sole responsibility will be to award the Prizes. WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX will have no further responsibility in connection with the Prizes if a Prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use the Prize. Winner will be responsible for all federal and state taxes, and any fees and incidentals. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash. We will make reasonable efforts to award the Prizes within 30 days after winning.

 

WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX contests are open to all eligible VA residents 18 or older who have not won anything on WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named. Any entry submitted to WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX will become the property of WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX and may be used in any manner it feels appropriate in the future. By entering this contest, you are verifying that you are the owner and producer of the submitted material and that no third-party ownership rights exist to the entry submitted.

 

Employees of WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX, Charlottesville Radio Group and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX’s main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

General: All decisions of WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX are final and shall be binding in all respects. Entry into this contest constitutes permission to use the name or likeness of each prize winner for advertising, trade, and publicity purposes without prior approval and without prior approval and without additional compensation. Additionally, listeners who opt-in acknowledge and give WINA, WQMZ, WWWV, WCVL, WCNR, WVAX permission to share their information with sponsors.

 

This contest is void where prohibited by law. All local, state and federal regulations apply. All giveaways and contests are void where prohibited by law. In the following rules, “95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA” means Saga Communications of Charlottesville, LLC, dba Charlottesville Radio Group and its parent corporation, Saga Communications, Inc., which owns 95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV, 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA radio:

5. Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of winner. 95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV, 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value.
6. All winners of all contests are responsible for all taxes on prize awarded. All winners of a prize valued at $600 or more will be required to complete the appropriate tax forms at the 95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV, 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA studios prior to claiming prize. All winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won exceeds $600.

16. 95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV, 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA shall have no responsibility for contestant’s inability or failure to participate, failure to win or claim any prize based on malfunction or difficulties with telephone, cell phone, texting, email, or internet access, or any other circumstances in any contest beyond 95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV, 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA’s control.
17. 25. Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on 95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV, 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when 95.1 WQMZ, 97.5 WWWV, 92.7WCVL, 106.1WCNR, 1450WVAX, 1070WINA contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the on-line audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.
